This project involved converting raw CSV dataset of online retail sales into a structured relational database using SQL. The primary objective was to enhance data organization and facilitate advanced reporting capabilities. I started by importing the raw data and defining the necessary tables through DDL statements to store the data effectively.
To generate meaningful insights, I developed and executed stored procedures that produced various reports, such as sales per country and top products per country. Additionally, I created views to simplify data access for frequently used reports, making the analysis process more efficient for end-users. Ensuring data integrity was a crucial aspect of this project, so I implemented triggers to maintain consistency within the database.
Through this project, I demonstrated my proficiency in SQL by organizing unstructured data into a relational database and generating valuable business insights. The resulting database and reports provided a comprehensive view of sales performance across different regions and product categories, helping stakeholders make informed decisions.
Technologies Used: SQL.
